TOPIC: The test
#264550
The test 6 Days, 17 Hours ago
Hello, Zeitgeist.

Well I am finally here after trying that test a million times. Now as humiliating as this is, I have to take issue with your test. I saw a few posts about starting to require a test to allow posting access to your site, for the purpose of minimizing the troll activity. I thought that it would make sense to make some effort to control the half-cocked meanderings of a troll. But that test only allows the zeitgeist guru's a chance to interact. I have dyslexia, I am not mentally challenged, but some of my sensory perception is interpreted in a "choppy" manner to put it simply. For me to memorize all that information with the depth that is needed to pass that test is frustrating and humiliating. A couple of points are conflicting with the information that I've got from other zeitgeist sources and from the info that you said was the source of the test, wich compounded my problem. A troll who has to pass any test to get access to your site will probably not bother. If a troll is determined enough to go through a test just to come on here and troll, will pass any test that you provide. Your test prevented me from not only having a voice, but from having any opportunity to change the perameters of the test to reflect it's intention. You are not going to see the rise of elitism in your own movement, because it is something that is born out of the thought that you are right. But when elitism is entrenched the only way to get rid of it is to let the elite system collapse. That is why we would have to wait until the money system collapses before we can bring in r.b.e., because everybody thinks it's right. This movement can't afford to be emmersed in elitism, because it will never be supported again.I will never trade one tyrant for another. Now of coarse the knee-jerk reaction would be to take offense at the word tyrant, so I will clarify. I'm not saying that you are tyrants now, but you will become that way if you think that you are right to do so. I'm sure you don't want too much riff-raff in here to slow down the conversation but I would like to know that there will be a place in this society for people like me, besides moving boxes around for you.

Hi Duram,
I'd like to congratulate you on having been able to get through the test! I know you're probably annoyed as heck right now because of what you've had to go through to get here, but when you cool down, you'll realise it's a great achievement for you and a wonderful step up in your own personal growth in the understanding of the movement and where we are aiming for. You are now probably way ahead in that matter than many that have been posting here since before the test came in. LOL.
I take my hat off to you!

I do think its grossly unfair how those of us who got here before the test was issued, don't have to take it.

I took it myself and scored something like 12. (I retook it with what "I" thought the answers should be and got 4..)

So for a while I banned myself

But then I broke my own ban..

Guess its getting on for the time when I ban myself for breaking my own ban

On the plus side, it has reduced difficulties on the forum I'm sure..

I am in two minds about the test, when I joined I hardly knew anything about the RBE idea but I was so excited by the little bit I did know that I wanted people to 'speak' to, I didn't want to read a book about it, I have been doing all the reading and watching the lectures since joining but I can't help thinking the test might have put me off and made me forget all about it.

Well I am finally here after trying that test a million times.
Glad you're here! But seriously...a million times??

But that test only allows the zeitgeist guru's a chance to interact.
Anyone who understands the basic tenets of The Movement should be able to pass the test. I took it 3 times myself and passed each time (20/20)...and I don't consider myself any sort of Zeitgeist guru.

I have dyslexia, I am not mentally challenged, but some of my sensory perception is interpreted in a "choppy" manner to put it simply. For me to memorize all that information with the depth that is needed to pass that test is frustrating and humiliating.
I also have dyslexia, but guess what, it's an "open book" test - memorization and "depth" is not needed to pass.

A couple of points are conflicting with the information that I've got from other zeitgeist sources and from the info that you said was the source of the test, which compounded my problem.
Such as?

A troll who has to pass any test to get access to your site will probably not bother. If a troll is determined enough to go through a test just to come on here and troll, will pass any test that you provide.
That's a given, and is understood.

Your test prevented me from not only having a voice, but from having any opportunity to change the parameters of the test to reflect it's intention.
How so? You're here now...if you have constructive suggestions, feel free to offer them.

This movement can't afford to be immersed in elitism, because it will never be supported again.
Which it isn't...to declare otherwise is a false projection.

I will never trade one tyrant for another.
There is no tyranny going on here, I think you're over-reacting a bit...again, you're already here. If you'd like to contribute something positive and constructive, that's entirely up to you. If all you want to do is "move boxes around", then, again, that is your choice.

In either case, welcome...I'm looking forward to seeing more from you - your passion is an obvious attribute and, when offered in a constructive manner, will be received with open arms.

No one is forcing you to stay here. If you truly feel that way, the Movement's "door" swings both ways.

I took it myself and scored something like 12. (I retook it with what "I" thought the answers should be and got 4..)
That should be indicative of something, shouldn't it?

So for a while I banned myself
But then I broke my own ban..

That's absolutely the best idea you've had since you've been here.

On the plus side, it has reduced difficulties on the forum I'm sure..
Yes it has...with, perhaps, one obvious exception.
