Yep, you heard right; we got an exclusive. And not just any ol’ mix, we got Citrus aka Christopher Robin on the decks. In lieu of a bio I will just say that Chris has been a musical mentor for me – in my early 20s (ytz took over at mid 20s)- he introduced me to the finest deep house, detroit techno, disco funk, soul, you name it. This particular mix takes me way back to that sweet place in time where him and Si were sharing a flat with me, south-central St. Helens… Tracklisting should arrive by email any minute now, not that you need it. Enjoy!!! All killer no filler ;p
Check Citrus every Sunday 1500 – 1700 CET on World Service Radio @ urgent.fm

~35 mins in the mix, the ever-elusive strings sample. Shivers down my spine

My own personal favourite of the three is L’orrore II… but it’s worth taking the time to discover your own.

I love Kirk DeGiorgio. Here’s just one reason why: the latest episode of his Red Bull Music Academy Radio podcast takes the back catalogue of the first ten years of ECM and puts it to the acid test:

Needless to say I live for the day Kenny “bust[s] a windmill” on the dance-floor , you ought to check the interview on the Gilles Peterson Radio 1 show , solid gold
