mIRCA popular Internet Relay Chat (IRC) program developed by Khaled Mardam-Bey. mIRC runs under Windows and provides a graphical interface for logging onto IRC servers and listing, joining and leaving channels. ≠ IRC(Internet Relay Chat) An open protocol based on TCP for computer conferencing on the Internet. There are hundreds of IRC channels on numerous subjects that are hosted on IRC servers around the world. After joining a channel, your messages are broadcast to everyone listening to that channel. IRC client programs, one of which is mIRC, provide a graphical interface for all functions, including logging onto popular servers and obtaining a list of their active channels.
